I was browsing the web today when I came across this preview for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (Playstation Phone). That's right--Playstation Phone. I currently have a Nokia bar phone that doesn't even have internet capabilities and I've been thinking about upgrading sometime soon, so seeing the preview for this thing pretty much blew my mind. It seems to be a combination of an android and a Sony PSP making it one of the most unique phones on the market.
I looked all over the web for a release date and price but I didn't find anything that seemed reliable--if anyone knows any more about this, I'd love to hear it. Nonetheless, I'm stoked to see what comes from the Playstation Phone. If you think society has a hard time putting their phones down now, you should probably watch this video.
Scrolling the internet today I found a very interesting article about a new mind-controlled prosthetic arm that could be on the market in as little as four years. The amazing technology is brought to us by the scientists at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). This technology works by inserting a microchip into the brain of the person with an amputation or paralysis. The microchip is able to monitor neuron activity and control the prosthetic arm.
As soon as you watch the video below you'll know how incredibly responsive the prosthetic really is. I'm really impressed with how well it works. My only real concern regards to the long-term effects of the microchip in the brain. Not to mention the fact that I have no clue how this thing could be affordable to someone who might need it. All in all, this is incredible technology and it's great to see something like this coming on the market in the coming years.
Here's a new bike from Inner City Bikes called the ICB 36er and it's unlike anything you've seen before. With 36" wheels and the most simplistic design imaginable, this bike is sure to turn heads on the streets. I'm a big bike fan and this is definitely an intriguing ride. A really cool feature about the simplistic design is the free-wheeling rear hub that eliminates the need for a chain.
